So you’ve made your Pro-Care appointment. Now it’s time to prepare your home for your carpet cleaning service. Our technicians look forward to providing you with an outstanding service experience. In the meantime, you may be wondering how best to prepare your home for hard surface cleaning.  Follow these four easy steps and you’ll ensure the most efficient and effective cleaning outcomes.

Periodic professional carpet cleaning service protects your warranty
RESERVE THE Work Zone FOR YOUR Carpet CLEANING Service.

When our technicians can move freely and work without interruption, they get the best results. One key step to prepare your home for carpet cleaning is to notify those in your household when to expect our arrival. For safety and convenience, please be sure friends and family stay clear of the rooms to be serviced.

Professional carpet cleaning can be disruptive, noisy and messy. It can require your technicians to prop open doors and run hoses through common access areas. For these reasons, the work area for your appointment must be a kid and pet free zone. We advise clients put their pets in a safe, quiet place, where service won’t disturb them. Always keep an extra close eye on little ones while technicians and equipment are in your home.

Finally, PLEASE avoid scheduling any other service companies while we are on-site. If there are professionals who must overlap our cleaning appointment, it is important to share the guidelines covered here.

Make sure the carpeted AREAS ARE fully accessible for cleaning.

As a client, you expect the professionals to complete your cleaning  appointment in a timely way. To help Pro-Care providers move efficiently and make the most of your appointment, please prepare your home for our carpet cleaning service.

Begin by clearing away loose personal belongings. Removing clothing, toys, electronics, etc will insure our service is efficient.  Please secure all breakables and remove small furnishings – dining room chairs, ottomans, floor lamps, plants or accent tables – off the floors to be serviced.

Remember Pro-Care techs cannot move computer equipment, china cabinets, sectional sofas, entertainment centers, antique or fragile furniture. However, where sufficient room is available, we can clean the carpet underneath such items, or we can edge closely around the base of the largest pieces.

Always be on hand for the pre-inspection. You'll be able to point out your cleaning concerns to the pros.
Communicate your concerns about the Carpet to be Cleaned.

Please plan to be on site at the beginning of your cleaning appointment. That way, you can examine your carpet with the technicians before work begins. The walk-through will give you the chance to call attention to areas which may require special cleaning.

It is particularly helpful too when clients point out pre-existing spots, stains, soiling or defects on items to be cleaneds.  Defects may include rips, tears, holes, fiber damage, wear, and rippling issues, or other structural concerns. If there is rippling, that must be addressed before your carpet can be cleaned.

When a homeowner identifies pre-existing problems that the cleaning process cannot fix, professionals can take extra care and can explain what our cleaning CAN accomplish.

Lastly, make sure to set aside time for your carpet to dry fully before resuming use of the room. When possible we will set up air movers to improve drying time. We also ask that you leave the plastic “tabs” and “blocks” under your furniture for 48 hours after cleaning. Remember, there is a potential slip hazard for anyone crossing newly cleaned floors. Please use extreme caution when walking from damp carpet onto any hard surface flooring.

Now, just enjoy the freshness of your newly cleaned carpet!
